Excellent Clinical Reference

As a busy clinical otolaryngologist in Lutherville Maryland, who is called upon to render opinions on all manner of oral lesions, I am pleased to finally have a comprehensive reference to make my practice more precise and treatment rendered more effective. This book is very well illustrated and provides an in-depth yet telegraphic approach to the wide range of oral pathology that is encountered in the general clinical practice of ENT. I recommend this well referenced book to all of us in allopathic medicine, who are not extensively trained in benign oral lesions,but are in need of a cogent answer to the question "Hey Doc look at this and tell me what you think it is?". I now have a "go to" reference for this exact need. Mark Williams MD

This a great textbook for relating clinical conditions to pathology and radiology. A must-have for clinicians who manage and treat orofacial conditions or residents/students who need a little extra help developing strong clinical differential diagnoses.

A book of the 6 string bass Modes and Scales, It's a handy guide which comes in useful for quick reference.

I have no cons, I do have a pro though, the layout works flawlessly on my Kindle Fire and Amazon online reader. I've had other scale and mode books which are just hideous to work from, this is a charm.

Sure you can get all of the info online for free, but for $3.49, I don't mind having a portable mode and scale book at my fingertips.

Interesting read

I am a complete novice to investing but the name Warrren Buffet drew me to purchase this book. The book goes over his philosophy for investing, which I found very interesting. It then goes into actual strategies and types of stock market investing. This part was a little more difficult for me to understand, as I assumed it would be, but the examples and charts really helped! Good read for both people new to investing or those who want to understand how billionaire Warren Buffet made his money.

Caught up in the unexpected sensations pulsing through her, she opened to him with a soft sound of surprise and met the first intimate exploration of his tongue with her own, then the next, and the next. Trust by Design, I thought, was well thought out, well written and I loved it. I love all Stacey's books. They have a great balance between suspense and romance. Gina is dared by her friends to make her ex see that she has moved on by walking up to a stranger at the bar and kissing him. After some consideration she takes the dare, walks up to the guy she's been eyeing and kisses him silly. Sparks fly she gets embarrassed and tries to flee leaving him behind holding on to just her sweater. Just like Cinderella and the glass slipper. Through quirks of his mother, and her friend of a friends daughter Gina ends up being Deans interior designer.... And things get going from there. TBD made me smile, made my heart pound, had me pacing the floor which my husband finds humorous. The Colorado Trust books are all stand alone with a few references to people in the other books but not that you would miss anything. I highly recommend reading all four of the Trust books you won't be disappointed. I wasn't.

Wonderful Romance and Suspense.

I received this book free from the author with no strings attached. I am writing a review because I was so pleased with the book.
I don't usually read Modern day romance as they are usually full of foul language and graphic sex scenes. Stacey writes the sex scenes so that you do not feel dirty reading them. I loved the story line. Gina is dared to kiss someone by her friends at a club to make her ex see that she has moved on. When she kisses Dean the sparks fly, she gets scared and runs. Leaving him with her sweeter. Just like Cinderella he has to find her. Little does he know he hires her as his interior designer. The Suspense of the story is the ex- boyfriend and what he is up too. Ahh you will just have to read it to find out. I highly recommend this book!

ONE OF MY FAVORITE ROMANCES!

I want to be Gina so I can be loved by Dean. What a guy! If Amazon allowed it, this book would be a solid 4.5 for me just for the love story. Great twist on the cute meet, though some might find it too coincidental given Gina happens to randomly kiss Dean on a dare only to have him turn out to be her ex-boyfriend's ex-business partner. But I didn't care and I thought the Cinderella twist a great detail. The only thing keeping me from going for the full 5 stars is how easily the main characters, especially Gina, seem to read between the lines and figure things out. Then again, maybe that's a tribute to how well matched these characters are--that they can practically read each other's minds.

That said, I highly recommend Trust by Design. It's another hit in the Colorado Trust Series...which is fast becoming one of my favorite series from the talented Stacey Joy Netzel.

For example, they need to come out of their shells and become better at universally educating patients in how to use medications, thus impacting patient care and helping make it more efficient and better for everyone. I hope the book enlightens and informs you and helps you, as a layperson, understand what really takes place when you entrust us to fill your prescriptions.

Confessions of a Pharmacist/An Honest Review

I was very enlightened when I read Robert Mix's book. There was a lot of information I was surprised I enjoyed reading about and am now encouraging my 19 year old daughter to become a pharmacist. He included tips for lay people that I found helpful. Most importantly was keeping your medical records with you at all times in case of an accident where you could be unconscious. Another grand one was to put your in case of emergency phone numbers labelled as such in your contact list on your cell phone. His take on how important it is to have human contact with patients I found refreshing. In a growing world of declining public relations I like the idea of my pharmacist taking the time to go over my prescriptions with me. I hope there continues to be more pharmacists like he was. Rob Mix proves to had been an extremely caring and diligent pharmacist and his writing on the subject reflects that as well.

This is an excellent book for individuals who are seeking a career in pharmacy, for current pharmacists, and for the layman who seeks to be enlightened about medications. Obviously, Dr. Mix is highly educated or he would not be able to write a book with such insight and knowledge. I actually loved the personal stories as he witnessed them during his days of work in his field. One comes away with a much better appreciation for pharmacists who work hard on a daily basis to provide medications accurately and promptly to all people who are in need. Without question, pharmacists are an invaluable resource and should be given the same respect as physicians. In the final analysis, Dr. Mix shares his personal story which in itself is heartwarming. Through his own trials and tribulations of life, he still manages to maintain a positive and sincere outlook on life.

Informative and reinforced my thinking regarding medications. It had a positive impact on me. The author has deep passion and emotion and overcame huge odds to positively impact all of us through writing his story. He shares his financial situations and relationship difficulties in an open and honest way that touched me deeply. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. His love for the profession and the family are remarkable. People wanting to know more about their medications need to read this book. I was informed about the truths and myths of many drugs.

#2 of the HEARTS OF STONE TRILOGY - JARED STONE

Jared Stone is tormented by haunting memories of the death of his twin brother, Jonathan, 29 four years ago.

He has inherited the 15 thousand acre part of the Stone property that contains the oil well and rigging.
He now needs backing in order to get the drill working and is expecting a geologist from Arloco.

Annie Baily turns out to be the geologist that he is waiting for but she is Jonathan's former fiancee. She brings another guilt trip for Jared.
He needs her ok in order to get Arloco to finance his oil drilling.

Of course, Myrna shows up with her daddy, still trying to get Jared to sell land to her as Jake refuses when he joins forces with Sam McCant.

Annie and Jared have some personal problems to work out.
Jared introduces Annie to Hugh Slater, a 250 lb. bear of a man to be the foreman.
Annie does not find out until later that Slater had worked with Jared in Venezuela and had saved Jared from falling after Jonathan when his brother fell off the rig.

Then Boyd Fitzer shows up to throw a monkey wrench in their progress.
Annie gets the feeling that something is missing or at least not quite right with the maps.

And then the explosions -- Wow!

Definitely Recommended --M -- great trilogy - well worth reading.

Am often overlooked treasure! Kabbalah, History, Herbs....

Many people see the word "perfumes" and, figuring that they don't need a whole book on perfume, pass this book by. This is unfortunate, as this book is one of the treasures in my library! I cannot recommend this book highly enough, even if you are downright allergic to perfume!
The book does cover perfume, and is a valuable reference on perfumes in all their uses, BUT it is not only about perfume. This book is one of the best primers on Kabbalistic thought, the tree of life, and ritual magic that a beginner (or advanced) student could hope for. The first few chapters are a basic primer on kabbalistic theory that is seldom equalled in clarity and usefullness, including a very clear example of the middle pillar excersize. The next chapters focus on perfume and incense blending, both for pleasing scents and for magical use.
For the herbal students the middle of the book is the most rewarding. Every point or path on the tree of life is associated with a perfume/incense/scent. Each plant or animal source of that scent is discussed in detail. (Including synthetic, cruelty free, alternatives to the traditional musk and other animal scents) The entry on Olibanum, Frankincense, begins on page 59 and takes three pages, covering history, trade, uses, value, botony, and blending scents. Since every card in a Tarot deck corresponds with a sphere or path on the tree of life, it is also a useful addition to Tarot meditations.
Towards the end of the book, as a delightful bonus, all the planetary rulers and influences, and their typical correspondances and God-forms, are discussed.
This book is a MUST HAVE for any ritual magician, any student of incense or perfume,and anyone studying Kabbalah. I consider it a valuable addition to the library of anyone interested in magic, aromatherapy, or incense making. I strongly recommend it to anyone interested in the history and trade of incense and perfume, which makes this a perfect gift for anyone in one of the historical re-enactment groups.

A Very Intersting (and Overlooked) Text

This somewhat obscure volume deserves more recognition, particularly within the occult circles to which it is addressed. This book gives ample treatment to the subject of metaphysical perfumery--that is, the ritual use of scent within a magickal context. Not only that, but the book has brief discussions on Qabala and also contains some basic directions for the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram and the Middle Pillar exercise, which should already be familiar to the practicing ceremonial magician. Anybody at any level of occult development could find something of use in this book. The rudiments of perfumery are explained here. Later, various perfume scents are associated with Tarot, Qabala and astrology in a way that will likely prove indispensable to the working magician. Even if you're not interested in the magickal aspects of perfumes and just want a good basic guide to the art of perfumery, this text will likely serve you well. It's a professional and knowledgeable guide to one of the lesser-researched areas of metaphysics--the art of scent and its relation to ritual.
